Do All Cases Go to Court?

Whether a case goes to court depends on a number of factors. If the case is close to the statute of limitations, a court filing may be necessary. If settlement negotiations have stalled, a lawsuit may be required. If the responsible party is known to be someone who does not settle cases, a lawsuit may be necessary.

At Norman M. Block, P.C., we prefer to settle cases. Our courts are very busy and a lawsuit may take several years before it is resolved. Settlement is always the client’s choice. While we prepare all our cases with the intention that there will be a jury trial at the end, we respect our clients’ wishes and will enter into settlement negotiations when we jointly believe that we can get an optimal result.
